" court jesters"

When the ‘court jesters’ step out of costume; they should remain mute in the public square. The stage is not theirs to command, but theirs to portray.

Let me ask the question: What is a ‘court jester’?
Definition: a clown or buffoon employed by a noble or royal for ‘entertainment’; also called a ‘fool’.

This noted moniker of the past has clearly evolved into the ‘entertainers’ of today.
These ‘jesters’ are actors, ‘hollywood elites’, or so-called ‘celebrities’ that are being paid (actually overpaid) a king’s ransom to entertain society rather than a kingdom. However they (court jesters) feel that being a derivative of this royal lineage gives them a justification and some intelligence via osmosis of privilege; to decree their opinions as if they themselves were ‘royalty’. They espouse topics such as politics, religion (or the lack of), and the environment; However, they declare so in such a gawking, condescending way.

The unfortunate part comes from the fact that we live in a society that is drawn to the entertainment industry like moths to a flame. And in a reversal of fortunes; the ‘jesters’ of today are some of the world’s richest, yet spiritually bankrupt inhabitants on this earth.

All of society has a right to an opinion, but the ‘jesters’ should not be granted self-proclaimed ‘press announcements’ when they are not play-acting. It would be better to dedicate allotted ‘village square’ time to Rose the baker, and Tom the plumber. At the very least, they would give us an opinion of realism.
The ‘jesters’ tirades really show that their depth of character is only as deep as the script they are provided.

Shakespeare’s character ‘Touchstone’ says: “I do now remember a saying: 'The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool’.”

However, we should not look gawk back upon the fools.
For it can be said that Christian’s are fools ‘for Christ’s sake’. The Apostle Paul told Christians in the first century that ‘the saving power of the cross appears as foolishness to those who are perishing’. (1 Corinthians 1:18). While we appear as fools to this world; the secularist ‘jesters’ merely go about fooling themselves and the weak minded.

Note to jesters: Speak your lines with passion whilst you pretend, and do no more than your job. You are given a talent with privileges, therefore be grateful rather than proving to be ungracious and proud.
Your opinion counts as one among millions; not as one to the minions.
