Consider the maxim ‘with God, nothing is impossible’.
This begs the question; Can God create a rock so heavy that He cannot pick it up?
It is easier to see our abilities in relation to our creator, but becomes rather ridiculous when we try to explain God with our limitations.
Let us ponder this a bit later.
Another question could be:
If God knows our destiny, why does He let bad people come into this world?
In essence, this gives us an answer to our first question.
God gives us life along with the ability to make choices, and although He inevitably knows our destiny He leaves our decisions to us.
He gets out of our way unless we ask Him to be our way.
So, can He make a boulder so heavy that even He cannot lift?
The answer is of course, yes!
But then in this same instance, He could lift it!
How is this possible?
If He chooses to make a rock so heavy that He cannot lift it, then so it shall be.
If He chooses now to lift this rock, then so it shall be.
We should not limit the answer to a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
The answer is positioned in the ‘choice’.
This pattern can be attributed to the initial question we pose about God.
God made us in His image and we inherit this ability and opportunity to choose.
Decisions, for humans are a fundamental component of life.
With decision comes the possibility to change, and with God all things are possible!
For God exists in the eternal now; unaltered by our deficient how!
